Using pencil and acrylic paint, Trish's colorful and carefully crafted paintings could be described as an illustrative folk style. This unique, highly recognizable style is intuitive and flows naturally from her imagination. Trish works in isolation from current artistic trends and established methods, focusing on her own vision.
Each painting takes from six months to a year to finish and often involves months of preliminary research. Upon completion of a painting Trish supervises each step of its reproduction at an Austin, Texas printing company that uses a state-of-the-art four-color offset printing press. This type of reproduction makes it possible to offer the public a quality, inexpensive print of the original painting. See ORDERS.
Trish's artistic influences include William Morris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Lewis Carroll, John Tenniel, Rudyard Kipling, Sir Thomas Malory, Alfred Tennyson, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Trish claims two hometowns in Texas - Fredericksburg, where she was born, and Vernon where she came to love the spirit and people of North Texas. She studied design at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and graduated with a liberal arts degree from St. Edward's University in Austin. Trish currently resides in Georgetown, Texas near Austin.
